Black Tea

Brewing Tips
We all know and love black tea for its earthy simplicity — and its ease of brewing is part of that charm.

How to Brew Black Tea

Begin, as with every tea, with water. Bring sixteen ounces of water to a boil (212 °F) per desired serving; while you wait, measure one tablespoon of loose tea into a teapot, tea bag, or infuser, and set it aside. Once your water has boiled, steep the tea leaves for 2-3 minutes. Once it's to your liking, discard your used leaves. Add any sweeteners, cream, or non-dairy alternatives you'd like, and enjoy!

To Brew Black Tea, steep 1 1/2 teaspoons of tea leaves in 8 oz of hot water for 2-3 minutes.

Let's Make a Black Tea Latte!

Once you've made your black tea of choice, you can follow our chai latte instructions (found here) or simply add your frothed milk (we love this frother) to the tea, along with any sweeteners you'd like, and enjoy!

Pro Tip: For a truly PNW take on the classic London Fog, try pairing Lavender Earl Grey (#42) or Creme de la Earl Grey (#9) with a little sweetener and a touch of frothed oat (or dairy) milk.
