Kombucha Kit
Kombucha is known as the Tea of Immortality and is thought to have
originated in China. The first record of Kombucha is from 221 BC.
Kombucha is very easy to make at home. The culture even reproduces after
every batch, so you can make a second batch or give it to a friend! Our
kombucha starter kit comes with a culture, starter tea, and instructions on
how to make it. All you will need is organic tea, sugar, and a 1-2 gallon
glass jar. I recommend our assam and sencha. However any black, green, or
oolong tea will work.
Kombucha is the Japanese name for a fermented sweetened tea traditionally made using a yeast enzyme with green or black tea. Originating thousands of years ago in the Eastern world, this Pro-biotic drink has contributed to the long, healthy lives of many people in China, Japan, Manchuria, Russia and India. Contrary to the belief that anything good for you usually tastes bad, Kombucha has a sweet, bubbly and refreshing taste that is sure to please all. When the Kombucha culture —sometimes mistakenly referred to as a mushroom—is fermented in tea and sugar, the result is a drink full of many health benefits. Some of them are listed below.
These are
two teas we recommend people try first in their kombucha if they don't
already have tea at home.

The recommended daily dose of Kombucha is 4-6 ozs, so one of our bottles (10ozs.) will last a few days. As recycling is important to us, we also will give 50˘ off towards your next Kombucha purchase for every bottle returned to us. We house brew our Kombucha weekly using only our tea, so check in often as our flavor selection will vary.
